I didnt really think about any of it much. I guess there seemed to be a new solution to bring Colin that a little bit more cocky and overcompensating for his impostor problem. We decided i needed to remain far from that because We wouldnt really care if it chap got shot, you know? [Laughs.] I would personally worry most if he was a likable man who you are type rooting for and attempting to develop and get a far better individual and type of man right up.
The sluggish expose to suit your character would be that the guy not the sort of super-competent, ace-in-the-hole type which he appears to be. How would you explain that trajectory?
That just what I became creating with this particular fictional character the entire energy. As a detective, he just wanting to be much better. He took credit because of this facts [on a previous case] that wasnt truly his, and he took it because I think he was so stuck and just wanted to getting lifted right up. He thought: “Maybe this can resolve they. Sick do something big. Impress my personal mom. Ill wow everyone else around me, and itll resolve all my trouble.” But I think the guy easily finds out that it phony. It perhaps not genuine, also it creates a hole inside of him. […]
